Growing up in the Mongolian grasslands and trained in martial arts by the Seven Freaks of Jiangnan, the loyal and benevolent Guo Jing (played by Hu Ge) obeyed his master’s command at 18 to head south, to fulfill a duel agreement with Yang Kang (played by Yuan Hong) and to seek revenge for his father's murder. On his journey, he unexpectedly meets Huang Rong (played by Lin Yi Chen), the daughter of "Eastern Evil" Huang Yao Shi (played by Huang Qiusheng), and together they embark on adventures in the martial world. Upon arriving in Jiangnan, Guo Jing learns that Yang Kang, the descendant of Yang Tie Xin (played by Weng Jia Ming), has become a little prince of the Jin Kingdom, which is recruiting talented fighters from around the world in a bid to unify the land. Burdened by national and familial grudges, Guo Jing, with his pure heart, gains the admiration and help of many masters. By chance, he is taught the Eighteen Dragon-Subduing Palms by the beggar sect leader Hong Qi Gong (played by Liang Jiarun) and learns the Nine Yin Manual from the playful Zhou Bo Tong (played by Li Yu), gradually growing from a foolish lad into a great master...
