One day, a dispirited man named Jun Sakurada (voiced by Mami Koyama), who has lost all motivation for life and only knows how to shop online, receives a letter that says "Wound Up" and "Not Wound Up." Out of curiosity, he chooses the former, not expecting that this accidental decision would open the door to a cruel world filled with magic and conflict. A doll named Shinku (voiced by Miyuki Sawashiro) appears before Jun. It turns out that a century ago, the technology for doll manufacturing made great strides due to the discovery of the "Rosier Virgin," leading to the birth of seven dolls with their own consciousness and thinking.
