This year, university freshman Nagamaki Sōemon Naoyasu (voiced by Daisuke Sakaguchi) enters the Agricultural University’s Faculty of Agriculture and begins his brand new campus life. Unattractive Naoyasu has a huge secret; he can see the “bacteria” that exist in the air, and he can even catch and talk to them with his bare hands. This superpower is undoubtedly a great asset for Naoyasu, who is majoring in agriculture, but troubles arise as well. As Naoyasu's childhood friend, his secret undoubtedly creates many conveniences for Yūki Akane (voiced by Mizuki Nishihara), who runs a sake brewery at home. At the same time, the unexpectedly mature senior Misato Kazu (voiced by Katsuaki Konishi) and the plump Takuma Kawahama (voiced by Nobuaki Sugiyama) grow increasingly interested in Naoyasu. Thus, in the fresh new campus, Naoyasu’s life with various kinds of bacteria begins.
