http://www.guinsaga.net/ "Legend of Guin" is a long novel written by Kaoru Kurimoto, telling the story of life and death in a fictional world centered around protagonist Guin. The work depicts historical themes ranging from wars and strategies between nations to the desires, love, friendship, and hatred of ordinary people, representing a grand historical saga. Since the first volume "The Mask of the Leopard" was released in September 1979, a total of 123 main volumes and 21 side stories have been published by December 2008, with over 28 million copies sold and significant support from readers. The novel was translated into English in 2003 and then into German, Thai, Russian, French, and other languages, with plans for Chinese and Korean editions in the future. Additionally, a manga adaptation titled "Seven Sorcerers" illustrated by Kazuki Yanagisawa was released in 2000, marking the novel’s first animation adaptation. The anime adaptation is produced by Satelight, directed by Atsushi Wakabayashi (notable works: "Yu Yu Hakusho," "Naruto"), with series composition and script by Shōji Yonemura (notable works: "Pokémon" series, "Hanada Shonen-shi"). The character designs are by Junji Murata (notable works: "Mobile Police Patlabor" movies), and the music is composed by Nobuo Uematsu, known for the "Final Fantasy" series. The story's protagonist is Guin, a leopard-headed warrior who doesn’t even remember his birthplace. Set in a fictional world and time, life and death continually unfold around him. In a narrative with a grand backdrop reminiscent of "Romance of the Three Kingdoms," conflicts and strategies between nations, along with ambitions, fantasies, friendships, farewells, and romantic entanglements among a variety of characters, spin together in a drama of love and hate. 【STAFF】 Director: Atsushi Wakabayashi Series Composition & Script: Shōji Yonemura Character Original Design: Natsuki Takaya Character Design & Chief Animation Director: Junji Murata Design Works: Hiroyuki Oikawa Color Design: Keiko Kai & Aiko Shinohara Art Director: Junichi Higashi Setting Design: Hiroki Matsumoto & Takenori Takahashi Art Background: Studio Easter Photography Director: Munehiro Kasuya Editor: Yuji Oka Assistant Director: Naomi Yamato Sound Director: Susumu Aketagawa Music: Nobuo Uematsu Animation Production: Satelight 【CAST】 Guin: Kenyuu Horiuchi Linda: Mai Nakahara Remus: Tsubasa Yonaga Ishtvan: Shintaro Asanuma Suni: Sayuri Yahagi Naris: Yuya Uchida Amneris: Akane Watanabe Astrias: Makoto Ishii Marius: Atsushi Abe Skahl: Masami Iwasaki Valerius: Keiji Fujiwara <Opening Theme> "Theme of Guin" Composed by: Nobuo Uematsu Arrange & Synth programming: Tsutomu Narita / Additional arrange: Hiroyuki Nakayama <Ending Theme> "Saga – This is my road" Composed, arranged, and sung by: Canon
