The novel "The Lost House on the Cape," published in 2015, won the Noma Children's Literature Award in 2016. The story describes a 17-year-old girl who has lost her home and her heartwarming yet incredible cohabitation with her non-biological new family in an old house overlooking the sea. This animation is part of a special project marking the 10th anniversary of the Great East Japan Earthquake, produced as one of three works with disaster-affected areas as the story background under the title "Forever Supporting. Project 2011 + 10..." The other two works are "Hula Hula Dance" and "Bakuten!!".
