The story takes place in a fictional world divided into five parts: Earth where humans live, the red world of the gods, the white world ruled by reason and science, the black world full of magic, and the green world that venerates strength and war. For a long time, these five worlds have constrained and balanced each other, forming a delicate equilibrium; however, an unexpected event leads all five worlds to face the same fate—destruction. To prevent this terrifying future from becoming a reality, girls with "Excceed abilities" step forward. They are sent to a school called Aolan Academy, where they receive training and protection. The straightforward and honest Aoi Ayane (voiced by Yuki Tamura), the taciturn Soubun Sayo (voiced by Minako Sugi), and the elegant and noble Almaria (voiced by Yoshimi Hara) meet in this campus among girls with similar destinies.
