Light Chōichirō, a member of the Science Patrol, encounters an unidentified extraterrestrial on his way from the space station EGG3 to Earth. The extraterrestrial, claiming to be "Ultraman," informs him that the various monsters and supernatural phenomena on Earth pose an imminent crisis. However, Ultraman cannot live on Earth in his extraterrestrial form for long, so he merges with Light Chōichirō's body and can transform anytime using the "Shining Star," allowing humanity to face the upcoming crises… As the animated version of the Ultraman series, it has inherent advantages over live-action special effects. Here, the protagonist can perform stunts that previous Ultramen could not accomplish. Multiple Ultramen and monsters can appear in a single episode without extra expenses. Moreover, the designers of the monsters are no longer limited by the technical condition of "monster suits needing to fit human body shapes" during this era.
