The story takes place in a detective agency called "Yanque," where a beautiful young detective named Loki (voiced by Takahiro Sakurai) resides. Although he appears to be just a child on the surface, Loki's true identity is actually that of the trickster god from Norse mythology, banished to the human realm for his numerous misdeeds. During his time here, he is taken care of by the dark dragon Ryusuke, who has the form of a massive python (voiced by Shinichiro Miki). One day, by chance, a girl named Oodera Kaeryou (voiced by Yui Horie) unwittingly enters the Yanque detective agency. She hopes Loki can help her find the former owner of a talking doll. After some twists and turns, the case is finally resolved, and afterward, Kaeryou takes it upon herself to become Loki's assistant. Together, they face various supernatural events that are difficult to explain scientifically.
