Ichinose Kanamori (voiced by Reina Kondo) has just graduated from junior high and is about to start her wonderful high school life at a new school. Kanamori is somewhat introverted and shy, which makes her very worried about whether she will be able to make friends in this new environment. Leaving her parents and familiar hometown behind, Kanamori arrives at an apartment called “Tamari Heights,” where she begins her independent life alone. It soon proves that Kanamori's worries are unnecessary, as she quickly makes a group of new friends: the mature and understanding Eiko Okaura (voiced by Tomomi Mineuchi), the carefree and outspoken Tamato Hyakuchi (voiced by Ayasa Ito), and the petite and quiet Gaku Sengoku (voiced by Maria Nagano), who is even more introverted than Kanamori.
