The Seishun Academy tennis club takes a step closer to their goal of dominating the nation. The national competition, representing the highest level of middle school tennis, has begun. The previously injured captain, Kunimitsu Tezuka (voiced by Takahiro Miyazawa), has fully healed and returned, while Ryoma Echizen (voiced by Junko Minagawa) has also returned to Japan from America, claiming he is only there to cheer. Seishun's first match is against the Rokkaku Middle School from Okinawa. Rokkaku intentionally fabricated an accident to put Seishun in a difficult situation.
