In the distant future, humanity has ventured into outer space and is divided into the Galactic Empire and the Free Planets Alliance, two nations governed by "autocratic politics" and "democracy." The struggle between the two nations has continued for 150 years, set against the backdrop of an endless and vast galaxy, repeating an endless cycle of battles. The corruption of the aristocratic society in the Galactic Empire, along with the "democratic flaws" known in the Free Planets Alliance as mob rule, is eroding both countries. Then, at the end of the 8th century of the Cosmic Era, the emergence of two geniuses drives history forward: the "Always Victorious Genius" Reinhard von Lohengramm, and the "Invincible Magician" Yang Wen-li. The two lead the Imperial and Alliance forces into yet another conflict.
