The story is set in an alternate world called "Green Island," an island located in the southwest of the Japanese archipelago, which has been transformed into a grand and luxurious platinum cage by a consortium. The protagonist of this work is Aoi Seiragaki (voiced by Junichi Suwabe), who works in an "ordinary" store in an old residential area, accompanied by a dog-like intelligent companion named "Ren," and his friend Hongzhu (voiced by Hiroki Takahashi) takes care of him. However, Aoi has been suffering from inexplicable headaches for a long time. Meanwhile, a virtual combat game called "Lime" begins to gain popularity on the island. Aoi, who has never shown interest in it, is suddenly pulled into the alternate space of Lime by a mysterious figure during a delivery, forced to engage in combat. As his headaches worsen and he bears a heavy past, the mysterious figure continues to appear, and the urban legend of "Kamikakushi" resurfaces. Aoi's seemingly calm life is quietly undergoing change.
