This is a magical world where humans and demon gods coexist. The shadow of the demon-slaying war has dissipated, and the world has welcomed a day of peace once again. Lina Inverse (voiced by Minami Takayama) is a genius sorceress who has grown up in a grocery store. Encouraged by her sister, she decides to embark on a grand adventure aimed at exploring the world. However, soon after leaving her hometown, she finds herself targeted by a group of thieves. These foolish thieves are no match for Lina, and just as she is about to deal with them, a blonde man named Gourry Gabriev (voiced by Hiroyuki Yoshino) performs an act of heroism to save her. Thus, Gourry and Lina form an unbreakable bond. As companions and close friends, they set out on a journey to pursue greater mastery of magic and swordsmanship. Meanwhile, Gourry is also searching for his lost Sword of Light.
