Due to her family's misfortunes, high school girl Kaori Ninomiya (played by Sakurai Sachiko) has always lived a life filled with pain and oppression. What has kept her going is her strength and optimism. A new biology teacher has joined the school, a 32-year-old named Takao Hamura (played by Sanada Hiroyuki). One is a middle-aged man who is a role model, and the other is a pure girl in the awakening of love. Against all odds, they fall in love.
