Yoshida (voiced by Kazuyuki Okitsu) is a very ordinary office worker. At work, he has a senior he greatly admires, Gotou Eiri (voiced by Yoshiko Matsui), whom Yoshida has had a secret crush on for five years. Finally, one day, when Yoshida gathers the courage to confess his feelings to Gotou, he receives a very straightforward rejection. Disheartened, Yoshida can only drown his sorrows in alcohol. On his way home, slightly drunk, he encounters a high school girl, Sayu (voiced by Kana Ichinose), sitting by the roadside. Seeing the pitiful girl with nowhere to go, Yoshida, under the influence of alcohol, takes the homeless Sayu in. To his surprise, Sayu decides to stay at Yoshida's house indefinitely.
