This 52-episode large-scale domestic animated series is adapted from the classic novel "Journey to the West." Tang Seng leads his disciples Sun Wukong, Zhu Bajie, Sha Heshang, and the White Dragon Horse on a journey to the West to obtain the sacred scriptures. They encounter 81 trials and tribulations along the way, ultimately achieving their goals and attaining enlightenment. The animation adds many contemporary elements to the well-known original story, making it more representative of the times compared to previous versions. It not only retains the essence of the classical masterpiece but also shapes the widely recognized animated version of the master and disciples. The "Journey to the West" is a collaborative investment and production by the Animation Department of China Central Television and the Torch Animation Division of China International Television Corporation, which took six years and a significant amount of funding to complete. Currently, the animated version of "Journey to the West" has been translated into various languages including English, French, and Spanish.
