Jake LaMotta (played by Robert De Niro) hails from Brooklyn, New York. From a young age, Jake trained in boxing and soon made a name for himself in the boxing world. Known for his ferocious punches and merciless attacks on his opponents, he was dubbed the "Raging Bull." Although Jake excelled in the ring, his straightforward nature and refusal to bow to the Mafia's control kept him from ever challenging for the championship belt. After multiple setbacks, Jake finally yielded to the Mafia and intentionally lost a match as arranged. Subsequently, he fulfilled his desire to challenge the champion and was crowned victor. After winning the title, Jake found no thrill in his victory; instead, he became disillusioned with the dark side of boxing and decided to retire.
