Alvaro (played by Javier Gutiérrez) is a small clerk working at a notary office, earning a very meager salary and living in perpetual poverty. Despite the enormous pressure of life, Alvaro still harbors the dream of becoming a writer; unfortunately, he is a man without much writing talent, so this dream remains in its infancy to this day. Amanda (played by María León) is Alvaro's wife, who is the exact opposite of her husband's mediocrity. She casually wrote a book that unexpectedly became a hit.
