Adapted from the novel of the same name by Zhihu author Xu Jiu Wang Chuan, it tells the story of the sickly concubine Su Qin (played by Huang Yang Tian Tian), who, after being sent to the cold palace, encounters the black-clad man "Illness within Illness" who kidnaps her.
