"Cocaine Hotel" tells the story of Cuban émigré Roman Compte, who fought alongside Fidel Castro during the Bay of Pigs invasion and later rebuilt his life in Miami. He is the general manager of the Riot Hotel, a glamorous center of the Miami cocaine scene in the late 1970s and early 1980s. The Riot Hotel is the Casablanca of cocaine, a lavish nightclub, restaurant, and hotel frequented by Florida businessmen and politicians, international drug enforcement agents, CIA and FBI operatives, models, sports stars, and musicians.
