A middle-aged man faces the pain of losing his wife. What was once a comfortable and secure home has now turned empty and lifeless. After his wife's passing, Shuudo (played by Nishijima Hidetoshi), the owner of a furniture repair shop, spends his days with seven little cats at home. However, compared to his wife Yoko (played by Sakai Miki), who took meticulous care of the little ones, Shuudo feels somewhat powerless. Thus, he starts to think about finding new homes for the kittens. During this time, his childhood friend, veterinarian Fujimura Misaki (played by Kishitani Ginga), often visits Shuudo and the kittens. Upon learning of her friend's intentions, she actively assists in finding cat lovers who can adopt the kittens. This serves as an opportunity for various strangers with different life stories to intersect with Shuudo, Misaki, and the kittens…… This drama is adapted from the short story collection of the same name by Shigematsu Kiyoshi.
