In Linghai City, a serial murder case occurs, leading criminal police officer Ji Fan to join forces with team leader Xiong Zhennan, forensic doctor Zhao Qingyan, and others to investigate. However, the case remains shrouded in mystery and proves difficult to crack. As the investigation deepens, Ji Fan gradually realizes that the killer seems to be close at hand. What appears to be a simple serial murder case is entangled with an old case from 27 years ago, and the truth, buried by time, slowly emerges. The murderer turns out to be Ji Fan's father, Ji Tingshan, and his brother, Ji Ping, who has borne the burden of revenge for 27 years on behalf of Ji Fan. After Ji Tingshan is arrested, Ji Ping, injured, flees overseas. Ji Fan follows his trail to his second hometown in Europe, where he grew up. While searching for Ji Ping's whereabouts, Ji Fan also has to complete an undercover mission assigned by the organization to uncover the puppet master, Mr. A, hidden behind the three major mafia families and to unravel the secrets of the mafia artifact "Holy Grail," becoming embroiled in the conflict of a mafia group in a certain European country.
