The TV drama "Sunzi's Great Legacy" will vividly recreate the historical turbulence of the rise and fall of the Wu, Chu, and Yue kingdoms during the Spring and Autumn Period, showcasing the fate and fortune of characters amidst this tumultuous history. More than two thousand years ago, during the Spring and Autumn Warring States period, "Sun Wu" from the Qi state had not yet become the revered "Sunzi" known today; he was merely a foreign traveler seeking ambitions in the Wu kingdom. Changes in his family forced him away from his homeland, and the circumstances in the Wu palace compelled him to slay two concubines, marking the beginning of his glorious career as a general in Wu, entwining his fate with that of the extraordinary woman, Yiluo. From a fugitive who left his home to a general renowned for his battles, and eventually to a reclusive scholar of military arts, Sun Wu experienced a life full of ups and downs. Fortunately, whether he was in high office or fallen into poverty, Sun Wu was accompanied by Yiluo, alleviating his loneliness. Similarly, Yiluo, originally a princess of the Chu state, found herself in a foreign land, unable to take revenge and given to the enemy who killed her sister. Fate tightly bound her to Sun Wu, transforming her from a solitary, resolute avenger to a righteous angel. As a woman, Yiluo's fate was even more twisted and challenging. Moreover, the famed minister, Wu Zixu, sought vengeance for his family, dedicating ten years of effort and heart to assist two generations of Wu kings, ultimately meeting a tragic end; the tyrant King Helu of Wu murdered his brother to usurp the throne and died on the battlefield; King Fuchai of Wu, volatile and suspicious, with grand ambitions yet lacking talent, succumbed to the allure of beauty, becoming the king who lost his country; and King Goujian of Yue, enduring hardships for ten years to avenge his fallen nation, became the last hegemon of the Spring and Autumn Period, among others. These vibrant characters paint a picture of the historical landscape of that era while revealing the personal fortunes and misfortunes amid turbulent history.
