The story takes place during the Liberation War. Chang Shan (played by Liu Xiaohao), the organization minister of a county in Shandong, is ordered by the county committee to lead Meng Siyuan (played by Du Chun), Wang Sancheng (played by Yin Xiaotian), Lou Zhen (played by Li Shuai), and other cadres to the Huaihai battlefield with the support front team.
