Mizuki Tachibana (played by Kana Kurashina) is a top photographer from Amakusa, currently active in the fashion photography industry, highly trusted by top Italian designers. However, she has recently been troubled by her declining eyesight. Initially having mild color blindness, she learned at a university hospital that she suffers from a disease that could impact her photography career. Exhausted, Mizuki receives a letter from her younger sister and decides to return to her hometown of Amakusa, which she hasn’t visited in 18 years. There, she encounters her hated stepfather, Taro (played by Ken Watanabe), and painful memories resurface. However, reuniting with her high school friend, Kyotaro (played by Katsuya Uekusa), gradually helps her find hope from her emotional low point. Directed by Koji Minamoto, the drama presents a story of intertwined sorrow and hope against the backdrop of Amakusa in Kyushu and Italy.
