At the 2018 Jakarta Asian Games, esports were featured as a demonstration event for the first time, which helped more people understand esports. Since the announcement of esports' inclusion in the Asian Games, the attention on "esports" in society has increased significantly, symbolizing the recognition of this industry by governments in many countries and regions. Now, a large documentary titled "Esports in China" has been produced. According to reports, this documentary "Esports in China" is divided into six episodes, showcasing the current state of esports in China from a macro perspective. It is jointly produced by CCTV and Tencent Esports, completed after 457 days of filming. During the production, the documentary visited 28 cities in China and several foreign cities, including Los Angeles and Boston, covering over 20 different game tournaments and interviewing more than 80 esports figures from both domestic and international backgrounds.
