"Tonight Without Defense" is a classic talk show produced by Hong Kong's Asia Television, hosted by the three great talents of Hong Kong: Wong Jim, Ni Kuang, and Chua Lam, with Zhao Ruqiang as the producer. The adult talk show was produced by Asia Television between 1989 and 1990, hosted by Wong Jim, Ni Kuang, and Chua Lam, and aired late Saturday nights. Each episode invited different guests for interviews, ranging from female artists to actors and singers. The content was relatively bold for Hong Kong society at the time, with the hosts discussing topics related to sex and love, but they did not make statements violating Hong Kong laws; the three hosts occasionally smoked, drank, and used profanity on the show. In the early days of the program, whenever the three hosts used profanity, the television station would cover it with a beeping sound to mask the original profanity, but due to audience feedback that the beep sound was too jarring, the station removed it and directly aired the hosts' original profanity. "Tonight Without Defense" produced two seasons with a total of 26 episodes, recorded and edited for broadcast, airing one episode per week and achieving very high viewership ratings.
