At the 2018 Jakarta Asian Games, esports became a demonstration event for the first time, increasing public awareness of esports. Since the announcement of esports' inclusion in the Asian Games, the attention on "esports" in society has been rising, symbolizing the recognition of the industry by governments in various countries and regions. Now, a large documentary titled "Esports in China" has also emerged. The documentary "Esports in China" consists of six episodes, presenting the current state of Chinese esports from a macro perspective. It is jointly produced by CCTV and Tencent Esports, taking a total of 457 days to complete filming. During the shooting process, it visited 28 cities in China and many foreign cities such as Los Angeles and Boston, covering more than 20 different game competitions and interviewing over 80 esports professionals from both domestic and international backgrounds.
