For the first time ever, we witness the formation of an embryo's face in such a clear way, from one month to ten weeks old — by the end of this process, the embryo is only the size of a pea. However, what is perhaps even more shocking is the film itself — in the womb, human "transformation" is no less extraordinary than the robots found in any sci-fi animation or film. The development of the embryo is a microcosm of billions of years of biological evolution on Earth; like almost all other life forms, humans trace their origins back to fish. Thus, human eyes initially appear on the sides of the head before eventually moving to the center; your lower lip and jaw originally appear in the neck position, much like the gills of fish, while the upper lip and nostrils gradually descend from above the head to coalesce below. This entire process of twisting, rotating, moving, and merging occurs seamlessly, leaving no scars or gaps, although at the junctions of this merging, a slight mark remains — that is, the philtrum above your lips.
