This documentary is the fifth installment in director Michael Apted's series that began filming in 1964. In 1964, Apted filmed the documentary "7 Up" for the BBC, interviewing fourteen seven-year-old children from different social classes in the UK, some from orphanages and some from upper-class families. Every seven years thereafter, Apted would revisit these children, listening to their dreams and discussing their lives. By this time, they are now 35 years old, established in their careers and families. Apted tracks their lives once more, documenting their career successes and love lives. Seven years have passed, and the marks of time have quietly crept onto each of their faces. Seven years later, whose fate will fortune favor, or is it just a grand joke played on us all?
