This documentary is the sixth installment of director Michael Apted's documentary series, which began filming in 1964. In 1964, Michael Apted created the documentary "7 Up" for BBC in the UK, interviewing fourteen seven-year-old children from different social classes in Britain, some from orphanages and others from the upper class. Every seven years thereafter, Apted would revisit these children, listening to their dreams and discussing their lives. At 42 years old, are their careers failures or successes? Are their marriages happy or on the brink of collapse? Some are dealing with the loss of parents, while others are navigating the challenges of their children growing up. One is now a single mother raising her child, another has remarried. Lynn and Jackie are facing health issues. Neil also goes through a test of friendship at 42... They all need to confront life with a grounded clarity.
