This documentary is the second part of a series directed by Michael Apted, which he began filming in 1964. In 1964, Apted filmed the documentary "7 Up" for the BBC, interviewing fourteen seven-year-old children from different social classes in the UK, some from orphanages and others from upper-class families. Every seven years, Apted would revisit these children, listening to their dreams and discussing their lives. Seven years later, these innocent children have just grown up. They are still naive as they face the world, appearing youthful and inexperienced in front of the camera. This blossoming age marks the first step of a long life. Director Michael Apted once again focuses the camera on the lives of these children after seven years, determined to create a documentary about the lives of British people and Western culture.
