A natural documentary about the life cycle of flamingos, filmed at Lake Natron in northern Tanzania. In a remote and forgotten wilderness, one can find one of nature's last great masterpieces: millions of flamingos with red wings unfold their wings, experiencing the journey of life from birth, growth, to death. The film captures majestic images that have never been documented before and shows how this endangered species struggles to survive. ◎ Synopsis "Disneynature" proudly presents its first large-scale eco-documentary, taking you into the mysterious realms rarely touched by humans. Through stunning visuals and captivating music, it uncovers the mystery of the African flamingo. The documentary was filmed at Lake Natron in Tanzania, located at the border between northern Tanzania and Kenya, 113 kilometers northwest of Arusha in the East African Rift Valley. The lake is 56 kilometers long and 24 kilometers wide, rich in salt, soda, and magnesium. The warm waters of the lake make it an ideal breeding ground for the East African flamingo, home to 4 million flamingos in Lake Natron and surrounding waters. In the Great Rift Valley of northern Tanzania, various volcanoes and lakes exist, with Lake Lipton becoming an ideal breeding ground for flamingos due to its unique geological environment. The feathers of flamingos only turn bright red during the breeding season; they endure hardships and migrate thousands of miles to raise the next generation, creating a stunning blueprint of life. The number of flamingos has dwindled to the brink of extinction in recent years due to environmental pollution and extensive hunting. Disney's "Wings of Life" leaves a precious visual record of the flamingos, aiming to raise awareness. To make this film, the creators lived by Lake Natron for 14 months. This is one of the most extraordinary groups in the animal kingdom. The salinity of Lake Natron in northern Tanzania exceeds that of the Dead Sea, yet a vast number of flamingos gather there, more than one could imagine. Their nesting sites are so remote and desolate that it wasn't until 1959 that a European ornithologist discovered this toxic habitat. This rose-colored flamingo belongs to one of the lesser-known species among six surveyed bird species; they are the most colorful, magical, and extraordinarily beautiful bird group.
