This documentary is the third installment of the series directed by Michael Apted, which he began filming in 1964. In 1964, Apted produced the documentary "7 Up" for the BBC, interviewing fourteen seven-year-old children from different social strata in the UK, some from orphanages and others from affluent backgrounds. Every seven years since, Apted has revisited these children, listening to their dreams and discussing their lives. The children, now in their youth, have grown to 21 years old. The director's original intention was to critique the immutability of social class in British society – poor children remain poor, and rich children remain rich. Decades later, this point seems validated. Yet life, unbound by constraints, continues to unfold. This documentary series spans half a century and unprecedentedly captures the real-life "Seven Up!"
