This documentary is the first installment of a series directed by Michael Apted, which began filming in 1964. In 1964, Michael Apted filmed the documentary "7 Up" for the BBC, interviewing fourteen seven-year-old children from different social classes in the UK, some from orphanages and others from affluent families. Every seven years thereafter, Apted would revisit these children, listening to their dreams and discussing their lives. The cycle of life begins with the real experiences of these fourteen seven-year-olds, whose innocent faces are filled with hopes and aspirations for life. "At seven, you see old," and in this candid exchange of questions and answers, seven years have gone by, powerfully unfolding. In 1964, when director Michael Apted first made this documentary, he was still an assistant. Through his continuous efforts, he gained extensive filming experience and became a renowned director.
