The war in Afghanistan broke out, and a large number of young Americans were sent to a battlefield that was like a hell. They sacrificed their lives for so-called ideals and justice while also taking lives. A certain combat platoon of the U.S. Army's 173rd Airborne Brigade was stationed in the Korengal Valley, which was said to be hiding numerous Taliban militants, destined to become one of the hottest battle zones. During a skirmish, a soldier named John Restrepo was killed, and his close comrades found it hard to forget him, ultimately naming a captured outpost after Restrepo.
