The film uses slow-motion and time-lapse photography techniques to showcase the stunning landscapes, culture, and wilderness of the American Southwest. To create this film, Lowe spent two years traveling in his Toyota convertible pickup truck across the Southwest. The shooting, editing, and color grading of "The Scenery of Time" were all done in 4K resolution (4096×2304 pixels), making it the world's first 4K film available for public sale.
