In 2010, Glasgow, Scotland. An unknown and terrifying virus spreads uncontrollably, infecting people with lesions all over their bodies, causing them to decay and ultimately die in agony. Due to a lack of medical equipment and vaccines, tens of thousands die within a week. To curb the spread of the virus, the British government imposes a total lockdown on Scotland, attempting to completely isolate the virus. After this, people in other parts of the world enjoy nearly thirty years of peace, but in 2035, one day, the deadly virus erupts again in London, England. Just when government officials are in a panic, they receive exciting news. A satellite photo shows signs of life in the Scottish quarantine zone. To find a way to combat the virus, the government sends a scientific team led by Eden Sinclair (played by Rhona Mitra) into the quarantine zone. Eden miraculously escaped from the epidemic area years ago, and when she returns to her homeland after nearly thirty years, she finds it has become a brutal battlefield of the survival of the fittest…
