In the early 20th century, Egon Schiele was one of the most controversial artists in Vienna. His life and work were often driven by beautiful women and the impending end of the era in which they lived. Two women had a lasting influence on him—his sister Gerti was his first muse, while the seventeen-year-old Wally gradually became his true love, leaving an eternal mark in his masterpiece "Death and the Maiden." Schiele's extreme paintings became a scandal in Vienna, but bold artists and art dealers like Gustav Klimt appreciated their unusual quality. However, Schiele was also ready to transcend his own pain, sacrificing love and life for art. (Subtitle team: Xiao Yifu)
