On their journey to obtain the scriptures, Tang Seng (played by Jia Yongquan) and his three disciples encounter a leopard spirit (played by Wang Yuqing) trying to abduct a bride from a wealthy family. After a fierce battle, the vastly outnumbered leopard spirit is killed, much to the happiness of the family. The next day, the group passes by Bull Demon Palace and comes across the Bull Demon King and Princess Iron Fan having domestic disputes. Sun Wukong (played by Dong Zhihua) makes an unkind remark and offends Princess Iron Fan. Continuing their journey west, they arrive at the Car Pool Kingdom, which is currently controlled by a demon. Tang Seng and his apprentices stay for several days, destroying the demon's lair and restoring the peaceful life of the past. Red Boy (played by Mu Lixin) receives a letter from his mother, Princess Iron Fan, and, upon learning that Sun Wukong has upset her, vows to take revenge on him. Avalokitesvara realizes that Tang Seng and his disciples are in trouble and sends disciples Mu Zha, Jin Zha, and Nezha to assist them, ultimately persuading Red Boy to surrender... The story is based on Wu Cheng'en's classic novel "Journey to the West."
