He takes refuge in the home of a widow (Kyouko Kishida), and after being welcomed, he discovers that the road to the outside world has been blocked. He gradually observes the peculiarities of the village, such as the fact that all the villagers must shovel sand at night to prevent their homes from being buried, and all water is regulated and distributed on a rationing system. The widow who takes him in starts to seduce him with her body, trying to recreate a family with him. He makes several attempts to escape, all of which fail, and he has no choice but to feign compliance, participating in regular labor in the village and enjoying the rationed way of life, while secretly planning to escape. One day, the widow suddenly falls ill and is diagnosed by a doctor as unexpectedly pregnant. Everyone frantically takes her to seek medical help, and the man finally has a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to escape...
