Action superstar Errol Flynn, known for playing bandits, plays the British pirate captain nicknamed the "Sea Hawk." During the 17th century, while England was at war with Spain, he ordered the sinking of a French warship carrying the ambassador and personally freed a group of British captives who were being held as slaves on board. This act brought him trouble, but his justice and bravery also won him the love of the ambassador's daughter.
