The 1989 film "The Fly II" is a sequel to the 1986 film "The Fly." The story picks up on the cliffhanger of the first film, where the mother, Veronica, gives birth to Seth's child and dies of shock when she delivers a fly pupae. The government research facility Bartok Industrial is tasked with nurturing the fly's son, Martin Brundle (played by Eric Stoltz), under the supervision of Mr. Bartok (played by John Getz), the owner of Bartok Industries. Mr. Bartok closely monitors Martin's every move, treating him like his own son on the surface while secretly viewing him as a research subject, recording his entire life through hidden cameras, and compelling him to study his father's teleportation device. Martin appears handsome and seems normal, except for his astonishing growth rate and exceptional talents. Soon, Martin falls in love with the beautiful Beth Logan (played by Daphne Zuniga). However, the mutated chromosomes hidden within Martin suddenly awaken, ushering in the terrifying prospect of him becoming the next "Fly Man."
