In this modern age of scientific omnipotence, there remain mysteries on Earth that have yet to be explained... In the Tohoku region, there was a village that worshiped the deity Baradagei Mountain God. The visiting research team witnesses a living god, Baradaki. It is Baran, a dinosaur from the Mesozoic era that resides in the lake. Escaping an urgent attack from the Self-Defense Forces, Baran takes to the skies. Eventually, Baran appears, targeting a landing in Tokyo from the Uraga Channel. The Self-Defense Forces counter with special explosives boasting power 20 times that of dynamite against Baran, who even deflects 36 mm machine gun fire... The miniature work is as brilliant as ever, but despite the theme of "unknown mysteries," the story feels flat. From the beginning, it shows Baran in full, focusing on its destructive power. Some materials refer to it with the subtitle "Asian Monster," but it does not appear in the film credits.
