Tandi Newton will star in the new film [God's Country]. Directed by Julian A. Higgins, who co-wrote the script with Shay Hatten ([Downsizing]). The film is based on the short story "Winter Light" by James Lee Burke, which tells the story of a college professor, played by Newton, living alone on the edge of a national forest during a cold winter in the western mountains of the United States. One day, two hunters trespass on her land, leading to a dangerous confrontation. Filming will begin this week in Montana.
