Every February, the northwest region of Argentina begins to experience the torrential rains typical of tropical rainforests, turning the vast forests into impenetrable swamps where neither humans nor animals can pass. The blazing sun bakes the swamp, and the heat and mist render the area eerily silent. Fifty-year-old woman Mecha lives on the edge of this swamp; she and her cousin Talí run a farm here. Each has four children and a husband, struggling to survive as two families on the edge of the swamp. However, that summer, two unexpected events challenge their survival...
