This is the continuing legendary story of the Dolanger family in the early 1990s. Bart Sheffield, after encountering his late grandmother Colin Foxworth, underwent psychiatric treatment in his teens and became the sole heir to Colin's estate. He rebuilt the Foxworth mansion and legally changed his last name from Sheffield to Foxworth. The estate was legally managed by Bart's father, Christopher Sheffield, until Bart turned 25, as stated in Colin's will. Bart gathered his entire family to celebrate his twenty-fifth birthday, at which point an additional clause in Colin's wishes would be read according to her instructions. This family includes: his parents, Chris and Casey Sheffield, whose marital relationship Bart is aware of; his brother and his wife, Jori and Melody Marquette, both famous ballet dancers; and his adopted teenage sister, Cindy Sheffield, who openly explores her sexuality. Since receiving psychiatric treatment, Bart has pushed his family away, especially Chris, who is not his biological parent and whom he no longer wants in his life, and Cindy, whom he never considered a sister, thus making her a member of this family. One event on the birthday leads the entire family to need to stay longer at the Foxworth mansion. Bart has become religiously fanatical, much like his great-grandparents, Malcolm and Olivia Foxworth, whom he secretly idolizes. Malcolm's spirit lives through Bart as he attempts to control what happens with his family, based on his distorted view rooted in his parents' relationship while reconciling his animalistic impulses against his/malcolm's religious beliefs.
