"The Ship of Theseus" consists of three seemingly unrelated independent stories. The first segment features a blind female photographer who becomes famous for holding a solo exhibition while blind, but struggles to find inspiration for photography after undergoing a corneal transplant and regaining her sight. The second segment tells the story of a monk who opposes animal testing but faces the choice between a liver transplant or death due to cirrhosis—the transplant itself is based on the animal experiments he opposes. The third segment follows a young man who is primarily concerned with money. After undergoing a kidney transplant, he inadvertently discovers the existence of kidney trafficking in hospitals and society, as well as some instances of "kidney theft." This unexpected discovery leads him to engage in various social activities unrelated to money. At the end of the film, the protagonist of the third story is invited to a special screening—a gathering of patients who have received organ transplants from the same donor. We see the girl who received the corneal transplant and the monk who had a liver transplant appearing here as well. They watch a cave exploration video filmed by the donor while alive, with the deep cave appearing as mysterious and magnificent as the vast universe...
