"Big Eyes" is set in the 1960s when an illustration called "Big Eyed Kids" became popular. Soon, its creator, Walter Keane, was sued for allegedly stealing someone else's work, which was actually that of his wife, Margaret. Margaret claimed that the paintings of the Big Eyed Kids were originally created by her, while her introverted husband Walter merely signed his name at the bottom of the paintings for sale. Eventually, their marriage fell apart. When the case went to court, the judge asked the couple to paint on the spot. Walter made excuses and tried to evade, but in the end, the truth about the copyright case came to light.
