The Duval family is a five-member household living in the suburbs of a city in France. Robert (played by Jacques Gamblin), a taxi driver, and his wife Marie-Jeanne (played by Zabou Breitman) are raising their three children together. Their eldest son Albert (played by Pio Marmaï) left home early to make his own way in life; their second son Raphael (played by Marc-André Grondin) is a carefree young man who seems indifferent to everything; and their youngest daughter Flor (played by Déborah François) has transformed from a good girl into a rebellious teenager, often causing her mother frustration. Albert's departure deeply saddens Marie, prompting her to return to school and pursue her own dreams. As time passes, each family member carries their own concerns, yet something seems to constantly distance their relationships... This film won three awards at the 2009 César Awards: Best Editing, Best Newcomer Actor (Marc-André Grondin), and Best Newcomer Actress (Déborah François).
